“Your body is a temple.”

The TV showed the sports channel, the Air-conditioner was disturbingly silent. The stench from old drunkenness and ashtray filled the house. Empty bottles and trash covered the floor. Flies buzzed around the kitchen and the drunkard snored on the sofa.

“Wake up!” Jones shouted in his ear, and shook him until he showed signs of being awake.

“You stink." Buddy huffed, sat up and started digging through the ashtray.

He locked the door and pulled the curtains for the windows. “Pot. Kettle.”

Lighting a fag end he muttered. “Long time no see.”

 “Work.”

The bathroom door creaked when Jones opened it to throw in the bag. “I need to disappear.”

“You’re good at that.” He fumbled to get hold of a bottle.

“I’m sorry.” Jones found an open vodka bottle and gave it to Buddy. “I need you.”

Buddy snorted and emptied the bottle. Jones lifted a pile of pizza boxes from the armchair.

“I’ve got the money. It’s holiday time.”

 “Thailand?”

 “Yeah.”

 “You still stink.”

 “I need clothes.”

“And a shower.” He struggled up on his feet and stumbled to the bedroom.

Jones kicked the dirty laundry out of the shower to cover the bag. Silverfish rattled to safety, and he used the shower on to wash away the filth. He found razors and scissors in a drawer and removed the beard.

“Towels.” Buddy put the towels down and kissed Jones' neck. “You’re starting to look yourself again.”

“Dragon breath.” Buddy brushed his teeth while Jones finished shaving. “Better?”

Jones kissed him and started to take the clothes off. “Better.”

“I’ve missed you.” Buddy stumbled while removing his pants.

“Show me how much.” Jones grinned and pulled him into the shower. “Remember. I’ll rip your balls off, if you touch my snatch.”
